A hazard is anything with the potential to cause injury, illness or damage.
Common hazards in cleaning work:
- Slippery floors 
- Manual handling 
- Chemical exposure 
- Sharp objects or waste 
- Electrical equipment 
- Biological hazards (blood, faeces, mould, etc.)
